Topics typically discussed include street safety educational outreach efforts at public venues and ACPS schools, traffic regulatory issues at the state & local policymaking levels, advocacy projects for improving infrastructure changes on Alexandria’s roads and updated analysis of “Near Miss” survey data collected.   In the world of the Coronavirus, AFSS’s monthly meetings now are on Zoom, starting at 6:30 pm and ending promptly at 8 pm

Arlington Families for Safe Streets (Arl FSS) meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of a month.  Topics typically discussed include ways in which to work with Arlington County on the implementation of its Vision Zero program, educational street safety outreach efforts at public venues and schools, traffic regulatory issues at the state & local policymaking levels, advocacy projects for infrastructure improvements on Arlington’s roads and updated analysis of “Near Miss” survey data collected.  Arl FSS’s meetings are on ZOOM, starting at 6:30 pm and promptly end at 8 pm.

Fairfax Families for Safe Streets (Ffx FSS) meets monthly on the first Monday of the month. Topics typically discussed include advocacy projects for infrastructure changes on the County’s roads, educational street safety outreach efforts with the public venues and at FCPS schools, plus traffic regulatory issues at the state & local policymaking levels and updated analysis of “Near Miss” survey data collected.  Ffx FSS’s monthly meetings are on Zoom, starting at 6:30 pm and promptly end at 8 pm.

Fairfax FSS November Meeting

Fairfax Families for Safe Streets (Ffx FSS) meets monthly on the first Monday of the month at 6:30pm for 90 minutes. Meetings are conducted on Zoom. Meetings are open to the public. We discuss our advocacy, safety, community support projects and Near Miss/Dangerous Location findings. Officials from local law enforcement, Fairfax County and VA government also join the meetings. The November agenda includes: Meeting agendas and Zoom meeting information are emailed in advance of the meeting to individuals who sign up to receive Ffx FSS communications.

WDoR is a high-profile, global event to remember the many millions who have been killed and seriously injured on the world’s roads and to acknowledge the suffering of all affected victims, families and communities. Please save the date! Join Fairfax Families for Safe Streets (Ffx FSS) at the Oakton High School cafeteria to commemorate the World Day of Remembrance (WDoR) for Road Traffic Victims. WDoR is a high-profile, global event to remember the many millions who have been killed and seriously injured on the world’s roads and to acknowledge the suffering of all affected victims, families and communities.
